The Redemption of Abdullah

Abdul Muttalib was worried; what would he do? His youngest & most beloved child Abdullah was chosen by the lottery to be sacrificed.

He asked for advice, and a monk advised him to sacrifice camels instead. Abdul  Muttalib decided to follow this advice, so every time the lottery chooses his son Abdullah, he increases the number of camels  to sacrifice instead, till it reached the number 100, the lottery then chose the camels.

Abdul Muttalib then sacrificed the 100 camels as redemption for his son Abdullah and gave it to the poor and fed all his family and tribe. Abdul Muttalib thanked Allah for his son’s safety and hugged him happily for this redemption.
