thinking that islam calls for enslaving the woman is the most common idea in the west, she is portrayed as the veiled muslim woman who is disadvantaged, follower of the man and can’t decide her fate. according to this image, the arabic woman is either one of the harem, or simply a dancer and a sex object.
either way, she is disqualified from her rights. certain sides in the west usually promote this image, the muslim woman has nothing to say in front of the man, completely under his will and mercy ,simply, a complete follower to him, as if she was a property that he owns and she has no choice of staying or leaving him.
as usual, they always connect between islamic religion and this disgraceful imaginative state of muslim woman. those who adopt this kind of thinking (of muslim woman), think that islamic teachings put the muslim woman in a lower grade than the man and turns her into his follower, while favoring the man with better and higher merits and rights.
some might even take (the ban of women driving in one of the arab countries) as an example, whilst one of the american cults
banned her women from even touching the steering wheel though we live in the 21st century, we’ll get to know this american cult later.
in fact, if we studied women’s condition before islam and after, in other societies, we’ll discover many rights and merits were given to her (by islam) at a time when none of those societies considered doing so.
there were many in the arabian peninsula who stood against early islam mocked it, specifically when this new religion granted women a right to inherit.
let’s get to know the woman’s position in other societies and religions before deepening into islam’s stance.
