Abu Umaamah (a Companion) narratedthat the Prophet of Allah, sal- lallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said:
“Allah will be merciful, on the Day of Resurrection, to the one who is merciful, even if he was merciful with a slaughtered bird.”1
Mu’aawiyah ibn Qurrah (a Companion) narrated on the authority of his father, that a man said:
“O Messenger of Allah! I am too merciful to slaugh- ter a sheep.” The Prophet of Allah, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, said: “Allah will be merciful to you if you act mercifully with a sheep.”2
